Fudge

Servings: 48 pieces

Fresh
3/4 cup butter (1-1/2 sticks)

Pantry
2/3 cup evaporated milk
2-1/2 cups granulated sugar
1 package (12 oz.) semi-sweet chocolate chips
7 oz. marshmallow crème
1 tsp. vanilla extract

Heat butter, milk, and sugar
Combine sugar, butter and milk in a medium pot. Heat over medium-high heat and bring to a boil. Boil the sugar mixture for 5 minutes, or until the temperature of the mixture reaches 234 degrees-F. Remove from heat.

Add chocolate and remaining ingredients
Gradually add chocolate chips. Stir until melted. Add marshmallow and vanilla and stir until well combined.

Cool fudge
Pour batter into the cake pan or glass casserole dish. Smooth with a spatula. Let fudge cool at room temperature.

Serve
Cut into 1-inch squares. Store in refrigerator or freezer.
