They turned out good, but I should have used a spray greaser instead of trying to rub shortening in their little grooves. Also I want to try to make this recipe using almond flour and cut back on the almond extract. I thought the cookie was a little too sweet once I put some fresh fruit and jam in them. Maybe adding some almond flour would make them more, crust like. I will try again soon.
